Card Gift Box

Homemade gifts are the most precious to me.  I am always thinking of ways to cards as gifts for friends and family.  These boxes can be found in many themes and sizes, so I decided I would try one out.  The best size for the cards are the 9x9 box (black paris box).  The cards fit perfectly.  The next size up (pink flowers) allow for storage along side the cards for things like note pads etc.

Use those JoAnn and Michael's coupons to save even more money!
Make the dividers by cutting plain cardstock to fit the width and height of the box (remember to factor in the height of your labels).  Find coordinating decorative paper to cover the dividers and round the corners (optional).
After printing out category labels, use Spellbinder dies or a punch to add a decorative backing to the labels.  One of the boxes my sister created was a chandelier theme box .  With my Silhouette I made a cut file larger than the stamp and we created chandelier backs for the labels.   There are many possibilities with this idea, card box is one, a recipe box for your friends and family who like to cook can be another.  I also use one of these for my embossing folders.  I would love to hear other ideas you may have.
It was fun to create cards to fill this box.  Add a fancy ribbon and your gift is ready.
I got a text later that day saying she used one of the cards already.
