Post-it Note Cover/Purse

Why pay for fancy Post-it Note holders when you can make them?  Post-its get used in the office, kitchen, by the phone, as a thank you note and in a gift basket.

We are having a sister's week at the end of this month.  Each sister brings three crafting ideas, this will be one of mine.  Be creative and have fun.

  Materials:
  • 3 X 3 Post-it Note Pad
  • 3 ¼” X 7” cardstock
  • 7” piece of ribbon (if making a purse)
  • 3 ¼” piece of double-sided tape for the purse cover (see photo below)
  • 3” piece of double-sided tape for pad cover (see photo below)
  • 3” piece of double-sided tape for back cover to hold the Post-it note in place
Steps:
  • Cut paper 3 ¼” wide X 7” length
  • Lay 7” paper horizontal on score board and score at 3 ¼” and 3 ¾”
  • Fold at the score marks. This will create the binder for the Post-it Note cover.
  • You may opt at this point to embellish the front side of the cover, round corners, stamp sentiment on flap etc.
  • Place one piece of double-sided tape between score lines (binder).
    • Notes: If you are making a purse cover use 3 ¼” tape to running the full width of the binder to attach the ribbon (purse handle).
    • If you are making the pad cover, the 3” tape should be centered on the binder.
  • Place 3” piece of double-sided tape ¼” below bottom score line to secure the post-it note in place.
  • Center post-it note on back cover over double-sided tape.
  • As well, secure the scored binder with double-sided tape to the post-it note top. By attaching the binder, the cover will open nicely.Happy Crafting!
