Cards from Sister's Week

Each of us brought 3-4 card ideas to make.  Kudos to StampinUp’s ink pads.  Sheryl brought ink pads that were maybe 10 years old (?) and they still worked!

These were Linda’s cards:

The birthday cake card is adorable.  These were squares with one rounded edge.  The layers were trimmed with flowers and small embellishment crystals inside the flower.  We embossed the top layer with polka dots.  Love the Pink!  This card could be made for birthday or wedding.
Using die cuts we cut out the colored coffee cup with a circle and used a scallop die cut as the backing.  As well, the background paper was backed onto a coordinating solid piece.  That set was then backed to the turquoise on black and attached to beige cardstock.  We all like coffee and cake so this was a great choice.  This color combo is becoming one of my favorites.
Love the simplicity of this card.  The smaller piece was embossed and attached to a coordinating color for both upper and lower pieces leaving room for a sentiment.  Attach a bow and ready to share.

Sheryl came up with these designs for her cards:

Sheryl's Cards

The first card is pink cardstock with coordinating paper and ribbon.  We added the white trim piece embellished with three flowers and placed small pearl embellishments in the center.   Pretty and easy!
Sheryl is the sister who is creative with scrap paper.  She used scrap pieces from her mother-in-law’s birthday invites.  Punch the flower and add a black embellishment for the center.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY was embossed with black glitter and add black eyehooks to the four corners.  You go girl!
Love the black, grey and white card.  The edge of the card was embossed with a polka dot edge.  The corners on the light grey, velium paisley and your tea-riffic saying were corner punched.  Add the black ribbon.  Great guy card!
The last card was made embossing the green layer piece, adding a large coordinating paper flower and small white center flower embellished with a crystal.  Add coordinating eyehooks to the four corners and add a ribbon.
Enjoy and happy stamping!
